About the Exhibition
In celebration of youth art month the Kennebec Valley Art Association (KVAA) announces the 11th annual Higher Forms of Art exhibition of artwork by students from area high schools presented in partnership with the University of Maine at Augusta for the 4th
year in a row. Higher Forms of Art is on view March 19 -31, 2017 at the Danforth Gallery. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Sunday, March 19 from 3-5pm.
Higher Forms of Art gives emerging artists the opportunity to show their art in a professional
gallery space, and offers students the experience of organizing and installing a major art exhibition. The University of Maine at Augusta is committed to supporting High School art in central Maine.

The Danforth Gallery is located in Jewett Hall. Gallery hours are Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 5:00 pm, Fridays 9:30am - 2:00pm. There will also be weekend hours from 10am-2pm for this exhibition only.
